News... it could be good, or bad. Either way people use it, other people seem to find it and run with it. This can be either helpful or dangerous. In any case, media (news) is out there.
One example of bad media is the whole Pastor Terry Jones incident. If you remember Terry Jones, a pstor from Florida, stated that he would burn the Quran on September 11th... The 9th anniversary after the terrible attacks on the twin towers. This statement he made not only angered alot of Muslims or Christians, but people of other religions too. Muslims around the world who heard this remark rioted in the streets, burning American flags as well as Pastor Jones' picture. But that's not all, not only did it anger people, it brought much publicity to him and his church of less than 50 members. It brought bad publicity because the press hounded the pastor and his neighbors for a statement on the matter at hand. It was clear that his privacy was not important.... but this bad media did happen to bring a good result, during a press conference Jones was hosting, he stated that he would cancel the burning.
In my opinion we live in a era that is media crazed. Everywhere we look there's some scandal going on or some sort of mishap that involves famous people and the media. We can't get away from seeing the news and what sorts of ugly things people are doing or saying to one another. The media creeps into people's lives just to watch them mess up. This is was journalism was created for, it was supposed to be used as a tool to convey facts and truth out to the public.
Thats all i really ave to say about it. This was an interesting blog.
